We use only the best materials. That is why porcelain veneers have been so successful in creating fabulous smiles at our office serving Annapolis and the Baltimore, Maryland area.

Careful planning and consultation with the patient is critical before treatment is started. Then, at your following visit, we remove your provisional veneers and try in your new porcelain veneers. Once you approve you new smile, they are bonded securely to the surfaces of your teeth.

Your teeth will appear whiter and beautiful! They will also be strong and less likely to stain. Your new porcelain veneers to give you a smile to be proud of for years to come.

Dental Crowns

Dental Crowns Before and After Photos - Maryland Cosmetic Dentistry CenterDental crowns, also called “dental caps,” serve a similar purpose as veneers. Both can fix cracked and crooked teeth, as well as other flaws.

But these dental options differ significantly. Porcelain veneers conceal only the front of the teeth. Dental crowns cover the entire tooth. This enables crowns to improve both the appearance and strength of your teeth.

New advances in materials have allowed us great success to creating crowns for our patients without the use of metals that often discolor the gum area of crowns. Most crowns in the Esthetic Smile Zone are metal free and create a beautiful natural appearance.

Many patients attest to the comfort and natural beauty of both porcelain veneers and dental crowns. We have success stories from Annapolis and the Baltimore, Maryland area. Read patient testimonials of our cosmetic dentists and their high-quality work.

Composite Fillings

Fillings can fix minor imperfections, including minimal amounts of decay and small cracks in the teeth.

Our tooth colored fillings, called composites, are made of a space age resin, reinforced with glass quartz particles in a specific shape and size that mimics a tooth’s physical properties. They look extremely natural. Many of our patients in the Annapolis area have elected to replace their old failing gray restorations with these new tooth colored, metal-free fillings.

The cosmetic dentists of Dr. Finlay & Associates use only the most advanced materials for fillings, dental crowns, and other procedures at our Annapolis office near Baltimore, Maryland.

In placement of a composite filling, we first remove the diseased or weakened part of the tooth (as well as the old metal filling if present). We then carefully sculpt the missing part of the tooth with the new composite filling and it is bonded into place.

The composite fillings are strong enough to provide years of function. The composites are customized to blend with you existing teeth. You will feel comfortable while eating and look confident with a cleaner, whiter smile.

Dental Bridge Work

Dental Bridges Before and After Photos - Maryland Cosmetic Dentistry CenterBridges, also called fixed partial dentures, can help people with gaps or missing teeth.

When people are missing teeth, they are missing the comfort and freedom they deserve. They struggle when speaking, they experience difficulty or pain when chewing, and they may hesitate to show their happiness with a smile.

We want to restore your smile to its old self, using high-quality bridgework. Bridges are long-lasting artificial teeth that “bridge” the gaps between teeth. They look and feel like real teeth. They are bonded into place and are typically not removable. Bridges can provide many years of service.

If you’re interested in a new smile and a newfound confidence, we would be glad to help. For more information on dental bridges and your financing options, please contact our cosmetic dentistry office near Annapolis and Baltimore, Maryland.

Root Canal Therapy

A tooth, unlike most of the rest of the body, has a limited ability to deal with insult.

The inner part of a tooth is hollow and it houses blood vessels and nerves that is referred to as the pulp. If the pulp of a tooth becomes irreversibility infected or affected, then it will die.

Endodontic therapy or root canal treatment can save the tooth. We believe in saving your teeth, if the prognosis is favorable, because it gives you many more options in the future to help maintain a healthy smile. Root canal therapy can be completed painlessly and with a high degree of success with today’s advanced techniques.

At this appointment, the patient if first anesthetized to ensure that the procedure is done painlessly. Then the dentist creates a small access opening on the inside of the tooth. The diseased pulp is then removed and the tooth thoroughly disinfected.

The tooth is then sealed. In most situations, a crown is then indicated to cover and protect the tooth. You can now enjoy the use of the tooth, just as comfortably as your natural teeth. You, or anyone else, will know the difference!

Teeth Whitening

zoom.jpgTeeth Whitening, or bleaching, is a safe and very popular way to give you a whiter, more confident smile fast.

Dr. Finlay & Associates offers teeth whitening to give their patients in the Baltimore and Annapolis area whiter smiles every day. There are a variety of techniques that we have available at our office near Baltimore, Maryland.

At-home whitening systems can be bought in stores, but they cannot compare to the predictability and results of professionally provided whitening systems. One option that we offer is an in-home bleaching system.

With the Colgate Platinum Overnight, the patient utilizes a mouthpiece that is custom fabricated by our team. The patient then injects into this appliance the professionally supplied whitening gel and the mouthpiece is then comfortably worn at night while sleeping, or at another period during the day. Within just a few applications, your teeth will be noticeably whiter and the process is typically complete in 10 days.

ZOOM™ professional tooth whitening is the hottest technique available to dental professionals. It is the same technique that is seen on ABC’s Extreme Makeover. At our office near Baltimore, Maryland we will first isolate the teeth we plan to whiten and then apply 3 x 20 minute applications of the ZOOM™ whitening gel that is then accelerated by the ZOOM™ light.

You can relax with headphones and an iPod while you teeth are whitening in just 1 hour! You are also provided with whitening trays that you can then apply additional whitening gel to maintain your bright new smile!

The results with both these whitening systems is permanent; however, everyone’s teeth will get darker over the years (whether or not they have ever whitened their teeth). With both systems that we offer at our practice just outside of Annapolis, Maryland, you are provided with a mouthpiece.

Provided you take care of your appliance, and only minor changes are done to your teeth over the years, you can simple purpose a professional touch up kit for less than what it costs for a good haircut!
